(AP Photo/Phil Noble, File) A photo of Kate Middlebury and Prince Harry in a casual blue dress, which was posted on social media on Wednesday, has gone viral and now has more than 5 million views.
The photo, which shows the pair together in casual clothing in the garden of Buckingham Palace, was first shared by the Duchess of Sussex’s Twitter account on Wednesday morning, but the image quickly gained popularity on social news site Reddit, with users asking whether the Duchess had changed her look.
One user asked: “Are they wearing a dress?
No, but there’s something very sexy about a pair of jeans, and you know it.”
Another user asked, “Is Kate Middlefield in any way a royal?
It’s a very simple photograph of the couple sitting side by side in a park, with Kate smiling.”
Some people commented on the photo’s apparent similarity to another photo, posted on April 4, when Kate was photographed in a blue dress by her brother Prince Harry.
The royal couple, who are now in their thirties, have become the first royals to be photographed in formal attire.
In November, Prince George, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William, Duke of York were photographed in the same spot at the same time at Windsor Castle in England.
Earlier this month, Kate posted a photo on Instagram of herself with her husband, Prince William.
The pair were photographed together at a Royal Academy of Arts dinner in London on February 28.
The Queen’s birthday party at Windsor was held on February 16.
